Acronyms

• CACD - Crimes Against Children Division of the Arkansas State Police (for Priority I cases, as defined in the Child Maltreatment Assessment Protocol).
• CAKiD - Concerned Arkansans for a Kinder DCFS (our child advocacy group).
• CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates (assists the children through the legal system).
• CHRIS - Children's Reporting and Information System (computer program to document casework; note: photographs and forms (such as CFS-327a - Physical Documentation - Body Diagram) are kept in a separate hard-copy file, and not currently stored in CHRIS).
• DCFS - Division of Children and Family Services (a part of DHS).
• DCO - Division of County Operations (with local case worker(s) for the county).
• DHS - Department of Human Services.
• FSW - Family Service Worker (a DCFS case worker).
• OCC - Office of Chief Counsel.
